The South Cairo Electricity Distribution Company (SCEDC) has published the first Smart Metering tender in Egypt. This project is designated as a top priority and considered a key step in the process of developing Egypt's Smart Grid.
The project which is attracting bidders from all over the world including El Sewedy Electrometer Group (EMG), the market leader in providing metering solutions and services, is expected to offer massive improvements to the electricity distribution sector in Egypt.
SCEDC is hopeful that the implementation of this project would result in reduction of expenditure, revenue growth and expanded services to its customers.
